I will be 29 next month. I think I have paid my debt as far as pimples or acne are concerned. I have two identical pimples on each side of my face. They are not just pimples either. I believe them to be soldiers of the devil. Seriously, these things have roots. Anyway, I thought the acne portion of your life was supposed to be over as you approached 30. What is up. It does not make me happy and I felt like complaining about it. I will talk about something else now.

I watched The Reader last night. It was very good. Kate Winslet is naked for about three quarters of it, which is nice. However, the fact that she is playing a Nazi, kind of muddies the water when discussing her sexiness in this film. Very good though, and I highly recommend.

The Geek Squad came yesterday and hooked up my tv. I am very happy with it. Watching Lost in high def is pretty cool. At certain times, i felt like i was looking at a postcard of Hawaii. Lost was great last night. They stayed on the island which I really enjoy. I want everyone back on the island. Ok , anyone who doesn’t watch lost doesn’t reall care about this. I’m out.

Hello all. Just a quick word. I do not really feel like typing. Watched Revolutionary Road. I thought it was very good. The acting in it was great. Today I am really not looking forward to going to work. I want to lay in bed all day but thus, I cannot. This morning I bought the new Franz Ferdinand album that came out today. I have only heard two songs so far so I cannot form an opinion yet. Hopefully it will be good. I need a good record to listen to, I have been sick of my ipod the last few days. Alright, i am uninterested in this post. Later.

I will be the first to admit that I am not the most knowledgable when it comes to art. But I do know what I like. Jeremy Blake was an artist who is now deceased. He did alot of the imagery in the film Punch-Drunk Love, His story is interesting and sad, but if you have a moment, google his work and story. This is something of his that I like.

Well today was a relaxing day. This afternoon I woke up and went to Best Buy and bought myself a 42” flat screen tv. I came across a sweet deal and could not pass it up. I have needed a tv for a while and today I finally went and got it. I want to start buying things for when I move out so that I do not have to do it all at once. So I am excited for my tv. Geek Squad is rolling in on wednesday to set it up. After that I literally watched movies all day. Four movies back to back to back to back actually. My friend Eric was kind enough to make me copies of a few movies i have been wanting to see. Here is the breakdown. First I watched Frost/Nixon. Very very good. I was suprised how good it was. I expected it to be good but not to the level in which it was. So I was happy with that. Next up was Slumdog Millionaire. To be fair I have been wanting to see this movie for awhile. I have also been ready to hate it for a while. It has a lot of buzz and some backlash to go with it that I have been reading on the internet. I will say that I liked it. I didn’t love it. I can think of about 6 or 7 other films that I have seen this year that I thought were better. I don’t think it deserves an Oscar like it will most likely get. That award I would give to The Dark Knight, The Wrestler, Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, or even Wall E. But it was good. I never need to see it again though. Next up was Changeling. They should change the name of it to Shitling cause it was a fuckin stinker. I had wanted to see this for awhile and actually had high expectations of it. They were not met. After watching this movie, I have decided that I just am not really a fan of Clint Eastwood’s films that he directs. It played like a bad Lifetime movie in parts. Angelina Jolie, whom I love, did what she could with the part but I thought the dialogue and screenplay were ridiculous. She literally said the phrase “my son” in every other sentence. In fact, if anyone reads this blog and then decides to see the movie, watch it when you are drinking and make a drinking game out of it. Drink everytime she says “my son” and I guarantee you will be on your ass by the end. Finally, I watched Vicky Christina Barcelona. I loved it. I thought Penelope Cruz was great in it. I think she is a much better actress than she gets credit for. I never particularly cared for her until I saw Volver. Now I love her. The movie was all round pretty satisfying. Woody Allen is pretty hit or miss for me. I generally think most of his films are just live-action versions of his sexual fantasies that we all have to witness. I do like a lot of his films though. And this one was no exception. Plus Penelpe Cruz and Scarlett Johannson make out in it. Any movie with that in it, is cool with me. Tomorrow I will be watching Revolutionary Road if I have time. And that was my day. Extremely productive if I may say so. Oh well. Its nice to have a lazy sunday. Be back tomorrow. Lights out.

First off, I am a little drunk. I was out tonight for my very good friend Smitty’s birthday in New Brunswick and had a very good time. Despite the horrific dance music, a good time was had. A small gathering at Glo which I definitely was in favor of. But more on that in a moment. The day started off good. I awoke and went to see my 1 1/2 year old cousin Justin. He is my little Nugget. Simply put, the best thing to happen for my entire family ever. He is the smartest, funniest little kid in the history of the world. The day started off at his parents house and then proceeded to Toys r Us in search of a booster seat. From there we huffed it on over to the Menlo Park Diner. Just me, my sister Dana, my cousins Melissa and Ron, and the little guy Justin. Then a trip to Barnes and Noble. While there I utilized a gift certificate I had. I ended up getting for myself Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates, Barrel Fever by David Sedaris, and a book on how to make your own beer at home. I tried to purchase Mr. Labotomy at the request of fellow Tumblr Lelah but they did not have it. Also while there I got for Justin a book for Valentine’s day call That Yucky Love Thing and one of my all time favorite children’s books, Where the Wild Things Are. I am especially excited for Wild Things because i think it is a great book and the movie version, directed by Spike Jonze is coming out later in the year. After the bookstore it was a trip to Target where I bought 3 different kinds of trail mix for myself, and a gift card for my friends Season and Brian and their new home. Better later than never. Finally after that I came home for dinner. It was baby central at my house. We had Justin and his parents over for dinner, Carrie and her newborn Avery over, and the lovely Olivia, Jennie’s 5 month year old. All the babies around made me momentarily wish for one of my own, but I was also equally as intrigued at the thought of an uninterrupted nap. Maybe I have some developing to do of my own before having a kid. After that, myself and the wonderful Ms. Jen Dehn went into New Brunswick for Smitty’s bday, Shots were done, beers were drank, and dances were danced. The night finished off with Jen and I singing the Teenagers song “Homecoming” on the way home. “She’s such a slut.” And now I am home. Tired and hungry, eating an english muffin. Jen was earlier instructed that she needs to have a small jambo over at her house in the future, cause it has been too long. Perhaps the weekend after my birthday. Anyways, until tomorrow. Get some sleep. OOOhhhhh, Bob Marley just came on on my Itunes. Redemption Song. Respect the shuffle and as always, Lights out.
